Job description:
We require a skilled and experienced Azure Infra engineer/consultant who can work with us on a project to move all local files in a Windows File Server to Azure File Shares
Project description:
The customer currently has about 15 TB of data locally stored in Windows files servers and requires to move these files to Azure File Shares. All permissions of the files currently provisioned (NTFS permissions) will also need to be moved, retaining the same folder structure.
Project requirements to be met:
- Provision Azure File Shares for 15 TB (Premium or Standard – to be decided by customer)
- Move 15 TB of files with related NTFS permissions to Azure
- Establish a Site-to-site VPN tunnel from Azure to local datacenter
- Setup the vNETs and security access controls for limited access
- Enable point-to-site VPNs for 50 users who connect to Azure remotely
Experience of the consultant:
- At least 2 years with 3-4 projects in a similar requirement as above
- Azure certified engineer or admin certification required
Duration of the project: 2 months
Time required: Full time (remote based as client is based in Dubai)
Compensation: Monthly payment or milestone based.
The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in Azure, particularly with the following below :-
- Experience migrating files from Windows on-premises to Azure files
- Configuring and setting up file caches, and premium storage optimization in Azure files
- Working experience with Azure AD (Entra)
- Setting up VPN, NSG and managing site to site and point to site VPNs in Azure
